Manuscript piano score of music by Handel. Black ink on 12-stave paper. Title from title-page [f.1]. Many pencil markings, some of which may be typesetter's markings. Originally paginated by Clarke, but not continuously [Athalia pp.1-96, Israel in Egypt pp.1-77]; the last few folios at end [ff.88-64] are blank. Dated at end of each work: 'J. Clarke Cam Jan: 22 : 1812' [f.48v], and 'J. Clarke Cam: August : 26 : 1811' [f.87], which suggests the two volumes might have been bound together at a later stage. John Clarke's edition of nine Handel works in 5 volumes was the first published arrangement of these works ['The vocal works composed by G.F. Handel arranged for the organ or piano-forte by Dr John Clarke of Cambridge', London, Button & Whitaker, 1809-]
